News and Notes - Quad Area Meeting

Our Quad Area met January 18 to 20 at the Rosary in New Orleans. RSCJ and Associates from New Orleans, Grand Coteau, Houston and Miami gathered hearts and minds on Saturday morning. Some had joined a tour of the most devastated areas of the city on Friday afternoon. Our sharing reflected the breadth of our ministries, and our focus on the internationality of the Society. On Sunday morning we joined Mely Vasquez, rscj, in a discussion of Eastern spirituality enriching, and answering a growing spiritual hunger among, Christians in the USA. Our gathering was a great grace for all of us present.

Crafted by God
8 - Month Spiritual Journey For Adult Members of the Sacred Heart Family

We again gathered for the second session of the "Crafted by God" program presented by Jane McKinlay RSCJ on the afternoon of Sunday, February 17 at Sophie Barat House.

We continued our journey with each other, enhancing our understanding of Accessible Grace prayer with a deeper examination of its genesis as a prayer form, and looking at the ways in which it can draw us closer to the human condition. Our journey will continue with personal inner work (regular prayer and reflection) until our third and final session on Sunday, April 27, 2008. We are very fortunate to have Sr. McKinlay as our guide on the journey.
